The trio have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months. Agyemang helped the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a historic innings. Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year. The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a widely-listened-to radio show. The champion will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December. The show will be aired from 7 PM GMT. Michelle Agyemang Age: 19 Sport: Football Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros. She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final. Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros. Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe. She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer. Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October. "Being nominated for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. The Darts Prodigy Age: 18 Sport: Darts Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history. He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final. His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles. His success continued - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time. At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record. "Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts." Davina Perrin Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August. Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s. It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament. Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year. "I'm incredibly grateful to be named a finalist for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin.
